All too often we see emotions taking control.  Instead, people should be able to take control of their feelings.  This series, initiated in honor of Jennifer Nagel, covers the vast subject of emotions and will give you a greater understanding of how to deal with them in a healthy manner.  Participants in this series receive a certifcate of completion.


This series of classes will cover:

  • Understanding Emotions - This class will help you understand the purpose of emotions and get you started on the road to taking control of them.

  • Jesus and Emotions - Learn some of the emotions Jesus experienced and how He responded to them?

  • Grief and Trauma - Learn some normal reactions to trauma and ways to walk through the grieving process.

  • Anger - Find out how you can get to the root of your anger and use it in constructive ways.

  • Fear - Overcome the fears that are holding you back from becoming all God wants you to be.

  • Compassion/Love - We are the hands and feet of Christ.  Gain some ideas on how you can make a difference in people's lives.

  • Depression - What are the causes of depression?  What do you do when you or a loved one is depressed?

  • Peace - This class will show you how to obtain God's true peace that surpasses all understanding.

  • Emotional Abuse - Is this taking place in your home?  Learn to make your home a place of love and safety.

  • Joy - Discover what true joy is and pinpoint the things that may be hindering you from experiencing it.

  • Guilt - What is the purpose of guilt? This class will teach you how to properly use this emotion and be set free from the guilt of past mistakes.

  • Coping Strategies - How do people cope with the stresses of life?  This class will cover both positive and negative ways in which we deal with our emotions.
